Default Honda Owner in the House

Hey guys... I'm currently a Honda owner (flame suit is on, so go ahead if you wish...), but I will probably be picking up an LSx powered vehicle within the next year or so after I graduate college. I've been leaning toward a Corvette lately and I think that may be my eventual route once the funds become available. I'll probably be lurking and doing a lot of reading and learning throughout the next year, but for now I just figured I'd introduce myself.

My name is Michael and I'm from Lexington, KY. I know a few of the members on here, but I usually stick to the import boards, especially those that are local.

The current car is a 98 Civic HX. Blah blah blah... slow... handles well... blah blah blah. Anyway, I look forward to an extended stay here and hope to gain a lot of knowledge in the near future.

Welcome. Aint nothing wrong with owning a Honda as long as you dont have a body kit, stickers, fart can, and neon lights and think that its fast due to those mods.

Sweet man, I've got a Honda too.

90 Accord LX
Mods: New engine when a head gasket blew, new radiator when the old one died, new oem exhaust when the old one fell off, new harmonic balancer when the old one died, new power steering pump when the old one seized up, and the list goes on and on, too many mods to list.

Eh, mine's slow. Stock engine... 15.63... it's just a stupid little single cam.

Brad, allow me to address your worries...

Body kit - Negative, I have a lip kit. Nothing gaudy (sp?).
Stickers - Go under the hood
Fart Can - Negative... magnaflow oval muffler on a 2.25" mandrel exhaust with a stock-looking tip =)
Neon Lights - I'd rather slit my wrists

I don't think my car is fast. It's faster than some, slower than most. It's mainly an autocross car now. I've got some decent money in the suspension.

Buddy Club N+ Spec Racing Dampers
Energy Suspension Motor Mount Inserts
Falken Factory Tuned Lower Tie Bar
Falken Factory Tuned Strut Tower Bar
NRG 4-Point Chassis Brace
NRG Rear Strut Tower Bar
NRG Torque Damper
OmniPower Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arms
OmniPower Rear Lower Control Arms
Progress Ball Joint Front Camber Kit
Suspension Techniques 19mm Rear Sway Bar

Hey!

I'm a honda owner as well I track race my '91 civic.

Sounds like some good toys i'd be happy to talk hondas as well as LS1s.

I'd help you rehaul your suspension and save a bunch if you want alot of that stuff is overkill and or bling, not to be rude just helping

ST makes the best bars for Hondas!

agreed. no one hates a honda - when they're doing what they're supposed to be doing! that is, driving to work and back while getting 40mpg, NOT zooming around with a wing taller than i am, a coffee can welded on their tail pipe and making weed-whacker noises up and down the neighborhood.

the fast and the furious and need for speed RUINED the import scene. i'm tired of seeing little white high schooler kids saying "yo dat **** is dooooope!"

Back on topic.
Welcome to the board. Theres some much usefull information on this board it's hard to believe it's free. So take advantage, save up some money, buy a vette, and keep the Honda as a daily driver.
