New guy, from Buffalo NY
Hey, I'm Steve. I'm 18, and I'm from a suburb of Buffalo. I've been into cars since I was about 11, built my first car, a 1990 eagle talon tsi when I was 14. Then moved on to more DSM and honda crap. Recently I ditched my turbo bmw project after I smashed up my DD...an 02 GTI VR6, so I can repair the front end.
While I'm turning my GTI into a JTI (jetta front end swapped gti) I've been looking more and more at fbods. So yesterday I drove a ls1 vette and fell in love. So I'll probably be lurking around trying to learn more and hopefully come next fall I'll be looking to purchase unless I come up with the cash before summers end.

The sooner the better.
I posted on nyspeed asking about getting an f-body and it turned into 5 pages of mostly ****, because "f-bodies get you laid" lol.

Meh, I'm around sometimes, but Im an ex-patriot of WNY lol. Im in the military now, and have lived in Omaha for the past 5 years. Heading to DC/Baltimore soon.
WNY's still home, though. Although Ive yet to see where the car "scene" is there since I wasn't REALLY into cars until I left...

You can find anything with patience and time. M6's aren't that hard to find at all, and it sounds like you have time to burn until you can even get it so, I'd just wait for the car you want. Not the car you will settle for.

Hey Mightybobo you know of a pontiac dealer named Ernst in Columbus? I noticed you aren't to far from there, thats where my car was sold from new.
Back to the topic, I wanted a F-body for years, after looking at different colros I realized I wanted SOM, and ofcourse a 6speed. Look on www.cars.com you can search for certain options and color, better than autotrader. I spent all summer searching for a car, didn't get it till fall so it will take time. But I'm glad I got the one I did.
You've chosen a good car, screw ricers
