op dont even bother getting another trans from maddog. should have done it right from the get go and went with a reputable shop. theres should be no question a PROPERLY built th400 should be able to hold the power you said you were making all day.

A built TH400 should never die in the 500 horsepower range. A TH400 is also not good for 1000 rwhp on stock shafts. A TH400 is ESPECIALLY not good for 1000 rwhp when nitrous comes into play. Enough of a shot and you will SHATTER your forward hub and snap your input shaft.

Racing for four months isn't something I'd sure as hell warranty.
Ummm... I don't know about other builders (actually I do) but every transmission I've ever built was meant for racing, and if it broke during RACING, it was covered under the warranty. In fact, every trans shop on here builds transmissions meant for RACING.

There is a LOT I could say in this thread to several people, but I'd rather not be a complete ******* and just let this one slide

True...why else would you need a transmission rated for 1000rwhp if you didnt plan on racing?

Performabuilt has a 2 year warranty, just sayin....

nah, you should tell

Lou, you said if anything else happened you would refund my money but yet again not living up to your word! A man that's not worth his salt! Do you know how much money I have in labor and down time because not one of the trans you sent me has hold up. I'm not willing to have you try and fix it again. I want MY money back!

And rightfully so, he should get his transmission & converter back first.

I gave him my money before he gave me a trans. Just like I I sent his last one back with out any problem's. This transmission has cost me to much money. Does he want to cover the labor too? This whole thing is absolutely ridiculous! He has my card on file. So if I didn't send him the trans he could just charge me.

Before it was sent back there would probably have to be a agreement first...

Horrible company my car was down for a year because of Maddogs antics now I have an FLT with performabuilt upgrades, been driving it for 7,000miles without a hiccup.

seems like this seller was blowing this guy off until he was pressured on here.

both sides should try to come to a resolution and go their own ways.

Just because they're a sponsor on a website doesn't mean they are good at what they do.

its pretty sad that maddog went through all that bs a while ago making videos and what not to try to get people to trust him and improve his image, but it seems like he doesnt care about the people willing to spend their hard earned money on his product if he wont even get in touch with the op to make this right.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck it usually ends up being a duck. People don't get bad reputations for no reason (well not usually lol).

I would never give them my money, there is no point when there are so many better sponsors out their with better reps for roughly the same price.

I think LS1Tech needs to do a better job at protecting us members against shitty sponsor instead of continuing to collect money from companies that don't do right by their customers.

I've heard nothing but bad about this company. A buddy of mine was going to send his trans in to their shop, but after reading a bunch of bad comments here on tech I told him not to. Good luck with your situation OP.
