APE's LUCKY NUMBER 3
well i ordered a motor from APE and the shipping date was april 1st ... everything was set and on schedule and i guess last minute one of their vendors botched up a part. due to an error made by another vender and in no part APE's fault they were unable to ship my motor on time. but APE is still stickin with their on time shipping guarantee and my motor will be FREE!
throughout this whole process nick has kept me well updated and answered all of my questions very promptly, i spoke with him at least twice a week since the order was made. nick and the rest of APE are very professional, knowledgeable, understanding and above all KEEP TO THEIR WORD!
thank you Nick and all the rest at APE ... you will get all my LS1 related business

How the hell do they make any money giving all their **** away? I think its awesome customer service, but this is like what, the 3rd motor in the last month or 2? Thats $10K right there, if not more.
I've not once had a vendor come through on time for me, but you can bet your *** if I ordered one of their motors my **** would be 3 weeks early.

I don't think giving away a $2,800 dollar short-block to get some new customers is smart business practice. I know they're not doing it intentionally, at least I doubt they are, but if all 3 of the short-blocks they've given away (3 that I know of for sure, and I'm assuming they're all 347's) have cost them $2,800, that's at least $6,000 in money down the drain, minus what they got back from their 'new customers'.
That and it can't be good when people keep hearing that shipping deadlines are being missed.
But like they say...any publicity is good publicity...

I have one waiting to be built by them now, i wonder what my shipping date is!?!?!? lol
btw, they also did a few things they really didnt have to do for me that helped me out alot when i ordered mine. They might not have made as much money off the the sale as they could have. but when they recommended other parts as i ordered my motor i needed like a timeing chain and ported oil pump i got it from "them", i was so impressed i got my cam though them as well.

See what you are missing is that the APE guys are into racing more than making money, While they do care about making the cash they care more about actual racing and making people go fast which I experienced first hand.
Can't go wrong with these guys.
BTW to any of the APE guys where does all this cash come from lol?
