Nope just getting some more things done with a buddy, and using his shop since I can't do it in my car port for the sake of the neighbors. It requires an appointment with him so I don't take up any of his business.

Otherwise they will sit in the box for another couple of weeks. What I should have said is I have an appointment so I can get my brakes done on Friday. (I am doing the work)...

Either way it is no concern of yours!

EDIT: I did not hear the end of it after doing the header install. I had to use his place to do the cam/springs/timing chain/oil pump...

Time (for the wife and I) to get a new place (new home) where most of the work is not performed on the sidewalk/car port...

Same here, goin' on (4) weeks and my mechanic is ONLY available w/advanced scheduling. But I can't beat the price!
It isn't hard at all, just need a spot to do it.
EDIT: Oh, and the parts...

I stand corrected, sir!

Glad to hear it. All my family and friends get an earful from me when I find out they paid 300 - 500 bucks at a shop just in labor. My brother paid over $600 just to have a master cylinder replaced and the lines bled. Prices are out of control! With enough gentle coersion, Ill get anyone to dust off the old socket set!

Holy shazbot! $300-$500 for brake labor! Now I see what you mean, I did not even know it was that high. I get paranoid about my own work, but dang now I feel better about doing it myself! I just have to reserve the spot to do it ahead of time...

Not everybody in the country pays labor rates that high, but around here, local shops charge about 90 and hour and delaers charge 120-150 and hour. Ite getting regoddamndiculous.

I am a little angry, and this post has been re-written numerous times already (before posting)...

The crux is this: I was promised the correct pads I ordered (and paid for) by today (Friday). I still have nothing (no pads, no tracking info, no answers) except an appointment I had to set up a week in advance to use shop space to put the brakes on; oh and an empty promise...

Now I guess I have to go out and spend another ~$150.00 to get pads so I can get these brakes on!

Caveat emptor!

Well I must say this is a very good deal, or at least looks like it is. I read almost every post in this thread and was still willing to order. I hurried to get home this afternoon and made the call . After being on hold for almost 15 minutes a male voice comes on and say's (I will be right with you After another 15 minutes has gone buy I wonder why I am still on the line.... This sponsor doesn't need my money. They need to hire more people and teach them how to take orders I will spend my money elsewhere These people need to get there act together!!!!!!

Well I put them on today, and went and bought pads at Kragen since I never received the ones I ordered.

Forgive me the car is dirty because it is raining here...

A response of some sort would be nice. I know the sponsior has read the PM I sent, why no reply? I called and was on hold for 20 minutes and gave up...

Come on guys, your customer service needs to improve or you are going to lose a lot of business from this board. Please respond to my PM and/or provide and update or shipping information for my order.

Thanks.

^^^^ At least Im not alone...

I am waiting for some updated shipping info as well. I was told my order would ship the same day and this was on wednesday. No reply to my PM and Jennifer replied to my email and said she was looking into it. The customer service at this place needs to be stepped up big time.

Still waiting for an answer....

Jamin

I ordered first thing Monday morning and was told it was all going to ship out Monday. It's a week later and no rotors or tracking number. How long does it take to ship to 60133?

This is Mrs. Azrael.. Dom lets put it this way.. we ordered ours on Feb 28th.. did not get them until March 15th.. and got the wrong brake pads.. and were promised them "right away".. haha.. and the funny part of this whole thing is we live in California.. just a few hours away from where Wholesale is at.. so all I am going to say is dont make any appt's with mechanics.. until you get them.. cause it might be awhile...

Ordered mine on the 6th. A week later no shipping number yet. Then I called and was told I should have them by the 20th. Then I call on the 23rd and they dont even have me in their system. Two days later I called to see if it was corrected and they couldnt even get me an estimated date for the parts, so I had no choice but to cancel.
