New turbo set up! Group buy
Ok,
Heres a list of items that will be in the kit. (in no particular order)
8 Autolite 103 spark plugs
160 degree thermostat
Shift kit
Lokar trans dipstick (stainless braid)
Basic turbo system including crossover, Turbonetics T-66, upper and lower downpipe including catalytic converter direct bolt to stock and aftermarket exhaust. All required hardware (nuts/bolts) All stainless piping. Tig welded construction
PCV solutions
Oil return and feed adaptors and hardware. Stainless braid feed line.
LS1 MAF sensor with wire adaptor
Cartuning Alky system
KN air filter
All vac lines/distribution block.
Blow off valve
Turbonetics evolution wastegate
Cartuning silicone/T-bolt clamps.
The "tune"
Thats pretty complete. Nothing else to buy.
Now comes the matter of price. If I could get an expression of interest from everyone who would like to buy a kit, I think I can work out a decent discount.
The more the better of course. This kit will be well under 4K. Lets see how low we can get it down.
Cheers

We didnt dyno this particular car as it got a fresh motor, but we did dyno another 2006 and it struggled to put 250 to the ground.
Yup the tune comes with it. Im not sure how hes getting the tune out to you, I think hes got a few ways of doing it. So no worries.
This is a great little kit i must say. you get on it and this nuts rush of torque and power kicks you in the ***. Love it.
So, 2005gxp is one. Ill put you on the list. I'd like to see if we can get 6 people together and go for a great price.

They are different modules, and therefore would need to be individually programmed. Also worth mentioning a trans tune is not necessary for the kit, and therefore might not be included to keep the price down.
So my question stands.

So my question stands.
PCM Tune - Yes Absolutely!
Tranny Tune - A very good question. I will find out.
I won't hear back till tomorrow on that issue.
Ive got the video of the dyno run now. Have some editing to do, too many folks walking in front of the cam. Will post it tomorrow night. Looks real cool.
The nice part about this kit is its brain dead simple to install. A sunday afternoon and your done.
Cheers

Also, would we be able to remove something from the kit if we didnt need to to make it cheaper? For example i wouldnt need the shift kit or tune(i tune myself with a friend who does it for a living)
numbers looks better than I expected. Couple questions. You said it was a third gear pull, but it's hard to see where the events are happening without the RPM component, is there a way to get it instead of the MPH scale? Looks like the torque and horsepower max might be where the converter flashed (and maybe in second gear?) and thus not a realistic reading. Was this run through the gears on the dyno or locked in 3rd? It sorta looks like it shifted into third after the peak and into second near the begining of the run. Also, what, if any, correction factor was used? I could not find/see it on the chart. Not trying to imply any trickery, just having trouble interpreting what I see on the graph.
Ok,
Some questions to answer.
Tranny Tune? - Yes indeed it comes with a tranny tune.
Can you opt out of things in the kit? - Yes only 2 things though. That would be the shift kit and the tune itself. Nothing else can be deleted. You will be able to get a credit off shipping or some such for the tranny shift kit, but no credit will be offered for not wishing to take the tune.
Headers. Since a few people have asked about this, we took a good hard look at DT headers to see what can be done. The front exhaust manifold looks promising. However the rear one totally gets in the way of the waste gate plumbing and the new down pipe itself. It would be a complete plumbing re-do. From our direct experience, it really doesn’t look doable at all. Sorry, Please understand we did indeed put some effort into this.
So far on this list I have;
2005GXP
DavidGXP
Anyone else at this point?

The Dyno Runs
1)“We’ did not dyno the car. We handed it over to the staff at Champion Motorsports. They are experienced operators so we let them do their job.
2)There were 5 pulls. The tune was adjusted for peak HP.
3)They were all 3rd gear pulls. The car was placed in tap shift and run up through the gears to 3rd. Once the car hit 2500 RPM, the operator hit the record button and entered WOT. The run from start to finish was a 3rd gear pull. This will be self evident on the video I will post later tonight. It your curious about lumpy parts of the chart, the car has the stock shitty tires on it that are badly in need of replacement. Hence there was some good vibration that one of the sensors on the dyno doesn’t like.
4)I don’t have the RPM chart. Don’t know if it was recorded or saved.
5)SAE Smoothing was used as noted in the upper right section of the graph.
6)Champion Motorsports has a very prestigious reputation in Canada. I am assured the numbers are indeed true and correct.
Cheers
