LS4 Transmission Problem Thread (4T65-HD); Current Total Inside
I'll probably pull the dam thing out this summer and rebuild it myself. Gives me an excuse to buy some more tools! Besides, I plan on keeping this car till I kick the bucket.. I'm not getting suckered into payments anymore and I have a lot of good memories. I might be the only one on this site who actually loves my car!

And i love my car as well wont be getting rid of it for a loooong time
I want a TEP trans, but I cant pull my trans myself, I dont have the tools nor space to do so, and the guy I was gonna have do it doesnt want to sit on my car and wait for my trans to go out, get rebuilt and come back, I need to find someone to help me pull it/have space for my car to sit there for a week or two, im probably gonna have to rent a truck and drive my trans 3 hours to TEP......
A remanufactured GM trans (which is what they give you under warranty) is just as likely to fail as the original. Please check through these forums and read about what it takes to make these transmissions survive in a stock vehicle, let alone adding another 100 HP on the spray. Your guaranteeing yourself nothing but trouble if you ignore the experiences of the 140 or so people on this site who've experienced trans problems, as most of them were either lightly modded or stock.
A wise thing would be to contact Dave @ www.tripleedgeperformance.com and see what he recommends for your application.
Good luck to you!
