2008 Buick Super - 26 k mi, has been in the shop 2 times for tach rising from 2,000 to 2250 during torque converter lockup. Dealer says this is normal, I'm not so sure after reading some of these posts...
I pull my Harley from Indiana to Daytona at leats 1 time per year on a little trailer. I would like to add the trans cooler, any ideas on manufacturer and model that will fit?

Bought it used and put 60k trouble free miles on it and yesterday morning I had nothing. 118k miles on a giant paperweight. Filling out the info with the NHTSA hopefully get a recall out of it.

They aren't gonna do anything with that many miles. That's a pretty normal number for any car. Sure it's unlucky but not unheard of.

ok so when im getting up to around 55-60 it shift into 4th and right back to 3rd and back to 4th then its fine till i stop again is this my trans about to **** on me? 08 imp 72k

I am looking at a 2005 GXP with 47,800 miles. Just drove it and love the car. Decided to do research and came across this thread. what's the general opinion, worth the trouble, if there is any or no. I will be buying an aftermarket warranty with this vehicle.

Good to be back to this forum. I sold my 2001 Camaro SS a few years ago and drove a beater up until recently.
Just bought a 2007 Impala SS with 54k on it in November. But gotta be honest, seeing this thread doesn't make me feel too thrilled.
I did by the Major Guard warranty with the car for 3 yr/36k. I don't drive the car hard (unlike my previous Camaros) so hopefully that will help my cause.

my daughters 2006 monte carlo ss /now at gm dealer. tranny is gone ! miles on car [140,000] .this is 3d tranny...regular things like brakes/battrey/tires,etc. my impala ss[2008]fine at 43,000 miles. on her monte this tranny has only 19,000 miles...i guess this is bigest problem on our cars. rkvette
