Default My 2006 Imp SS clean-up

New to the forum but have been lurking for years.

I decided it was time to upgrade from my 1st car, which was a 1997 Monte Carlo to this Impala SS.

Initially when I saw it at the dealership it looked fantastic, I looked it up and down and didn't see next to any scratches chips or dents let alone swirls. Obviously they were just using a good glaze to hide the defects, cause once I got it home and washed it with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash It was a completely different finish. Car has 5% tint on the back windows, their was tint on the front two (illegal in MI), but was removed by the dealer ship. Also I put a Pioneer AVIC-X930bt screen in it as well as a 8" W7 with a JL amp. The rims are 20" and I also have the factory rim/tires. Also I put in some HID's and a Optima red top.

Products Used
Flex 3401
Nikon D40
UDM
M105
M205
Menzerna SIP
Menzerna P085rd
Wolfgang DGPS
LC PFW
LC Cyan
LC White
LC Black
LC Red
Lots of other chemicals

The car was washed/foamed with Chemical Guys CW to remove any existing wax/glaze/sealant to show its true appearance.

Taped the car up and proceeded to polish away.

Before

50/50

After

Thanks for looking!

I'm not a huge fan of black rims in general but those are killer.

Great job on the detailing.

yeah i have the flex as well...its a hell of nice machine....too bad you are that far away...what kind of orbital do you have? you can get a porter cable for around $100....it works pretty good as well but just takes a little longer and there is 0 chance of burning through the paint with that one...the flex can but IMO you would have to be trying or letting it sit on an edge

Toss that $30 orbital in the trash. Spend $200 on a porter cable and some detailing products! You'll never look back!
