My first race...
What up guys. I know i shouldnt have but i was on the way back home from the grocery with all three kids and the wife and rolled up to a 2004 mustang gt. he gave me a little rev and i couldnt resist. My wifes is acreaming no no no but the kids are all yelling yea dad get em!! So who do u think i listened to. Lol. So I thought for sure I'd be wasting gas. But we went from a 25 kick and a stop. With three kids cheering me on and the wife giggling by the end, we destroyed the stang. I can't wait to get some mods soon. I really think a shift kit is a must, every time I go to second the gxp seems to cut power out. These things should b chirping the tires with the amount of torque. Does a shift kit really help these trannies.

It's not a drastic difference but yes, the shift kit is absolutely worth it. I would never go back to not having one. It makes the upshifts a little crisper but the best benefit IMO is the much improved downshift.
Good kill!

A shift kit without a tune isn't a huge difference but its still noticable. Where you are doing to see the biggest difference is an Overkill tune + a Shift Kit/rebuild. When I had my shift kit installed my tranny was rebuilt with all the TEP upgrades, and I added an Overkill Tune. You are not going to chirp the tires with this setup, nor do you want to, its too hard on things. My car shifts hard and fast, but not violent.
Downshifts are insane, skip shifts from 4-2 in milliseconds, huge advantage from a roll. Get a trans cooler while your at it, its the best mod for these cars by far.
As far as the Mustang goes, good kill, but yeah they are slow, I have put a stomp on many of those dumb things.

because we all know hitting the gas will just completely throw the car out of control and kill his family and everyone around him right? the fastest they would even need to go for the gxp to put a length on the mustang is 50mph probably less. and its not like either car is getting sideways
