Chevy announces the "SS" It finally looks like Chevy is going to allow the general public to have the Caprice Cop Car, starting in late 2013 they are going to be selling something they are currently calling "The SS".........It will be interesting to see what they actually do end up producing

I thought they announced this a while back, along with new NASCAR cars?
But the Caprice is a Statesman, the SS is supposed to be the Commodore/G8 reintroduction. I hope the Ute gets planned to come over again.

The Commodore and Statesman are both Zeta. The G8/SS is a Commodore and the Caprice is a Statesman (which was renamed the Caprice in 2010).
The new VF Commodore (SS) is supposed to be lighter and more technologically advanced, and restyled. I'm curious to see the final product, may sway me away from a Challenger.

Edmunds says 3559 lbs, I don't see how.
