I cant stand this. Out of nowhere my car has a shimmy when i slow down. Not my brakes bc it doea it even when im just off the throttle at lower speeds. I can see in my rear view mirror my car shimmying side to side, and it makes me move side to side in my seat. Wtf is it?!

ok just didnt know if someone might of tried to take your wheel and stopped half way through.

did you jack it up and see if you can make the wheels move around by hand?

It is winter time are your wheels packed up with road crap/snow/ice. My car can actually loose control if I don`t remove the crap inside the wheels.

I havent tried that yet bc i live in ny and its 10 degrees and snowing everyday haha. Which sucks bc i cant check, the garage isnt car accessible. I noticed it the first time i slowed down rivhr afyer i picked my car up from a shop after getting tranny work done. Car wasnt doing this when i dropped it off...but i dont see why they woulda messed with the rear end doing tranny work. They did tell me i had a loose tie rod in the front, but i believe they fixed that problem so idk if that could be it? Plus a shimmy that u feel in ur seat and not the steeri g wheel is usually a rear end symptom right?

A inner CV joint will do that! It may not be seated or they broke it.

No the outer joints you would feel and hear in the steering but the inner joints give a square tire feeling and the worse they are the worse the vibration... seat of your pants/ whole car.
As for the steering they should of centered it and that must be done visually and with a scanner or the computers will see a YAW indication as you are going straight and it will throw the traction and stability control off.

Do either of your wheels and tires appear slanted in or out?

Was an alignment done after the tie rod was repaired/tightened. Bad alignment will make your vehicle squirrely. I had a mustang that I replaced the rack on and every bump I hit afterward made opposite corners bounce and when it did, it pulled to different sides depending on where in the bounce I was. If they didn't check, have someone check it.
