Yea, the NY governor took a beating on that one. My car has seen every winter since 2010. Probably a stupid question but do you plan on driving it in the winter? They manage, although not great. Lots of traction and stability control lights flashing lol. I so hate winter now, goal is to get to Texas at some point.
All placebo effect im sure, does feel like its got a little more pickup. Didn't have any issues with the OBX headers other then the fact that the clamps sucked, just replaced them. Dunno what all the fuss was about with previous threads.

I had a 3100 Malibu with OBX headers that leaked (and sounded tinny) like hell so I was staying away from them as far as the LS4 application.
However, I'm not sure DT's are even sold anymore so if I ever do this I may not have a choice!
Do you have pics of that by chance?

these are the upgraded clamps
and the clearance on the coolant passage, which was easy to move out of the way, it bends very easily..

^^I have to respectfully call b.s on that I've had mine since 2013 no rust. The ceramic coating is really nice on them but hell no to 700 call them up and tell them you saw the headers on ls1tech for a discount mine were 599 shipped
I would really like to get around to chopping those horrible collectors off and extending the primaries more. When i finally got the headers I was thoroughly dissapointed for the price.
i would have been fine with that setup if it fed into a 2.75 or 3" collector and crossover, but a 2.5" is just as restrictive as the factory setup. Only real advantage to the headers is the redesign of how it connects to the rear manifold, its not force feeding the rear from the front anymore.
nah, i have OBX headers, this was the set i was going to buy before i bought the OBX though, not uncommon for DT headers either. They use a different grade of stainless that isnt as corrosion resistant as others.
