id like to see how small her trunk really is
and you are right. gm needs to do something with their cars, quick. im not impressed. just because they put a hot engine in it and call it an SS isnt enough anymore. they need to handle, brake, and go- think SVT and SRT. not to mention style. ford and dcx have their acts together with styling and hopped up models, gm needs to get on the boat. this isnt 1969 where stuffing a big engine in any car will suffice.

more excellent images!!!!
you make use of what you have, and if its fwd, you do the best you can do with it...
I'll tell you this, my SRT at 35psi is a handful to drive, a real rush and you had better be able to hang on to her, torque steer is tremendous, and quite exciting to me.
This little car transforms into a runaway freight train...

Chaman, I can't believe you want to talk quality and use a Chrysler product as your bench mark. Especially a dodge (Drips Oil Drops Grease Everywhere). I agree the SRT8 vehicles are faster than Chevy's SS vehicles. They should they are alot more expensive. Chrysler did a good job with them in the performance aspect. The R/T cars on the other hand do compete with Chevy's SS cars and they lose hands down. The proof is in the spanking the R/T owners get at every race.

i suggest you go rent a magnum or something and drive it around for a couple days and report back here. this isnt the 1990 era of chyrsler, this is a whole new era. and guess what, if gm doesnt get their chit together, they are gonna lose quite a few customers. i know quite a few f-body guys that have an lx vehicle already, 2 of which have posted in this thread alone! i suggest you get out and test the cars before going off and spouting crap you dont know about them

and whats just as funny is everyone comparing the prices of the srt8s to gms car. however, they forget that gms cars dont come with half of the options (nav, sunroof, upgraded stereo, etc) which are all options to add to the cost. take off the options and the prices arent that different. and when you factor in the all around performance they are evenly matched price wise. id like to see some braking numbers and salom numbers compaing the 2. you pay more, you get more.
oh, and for those of you who have forgotten. these lx vehicles are full size "luxury" sedans. they are not 2 seater sports cars. they arent made to run with the vettes and stangs and f-bodies. funny enough though, my srt8 is faster stock for stock than f-bodies and gtos
