Don't know if mine is the same issue. But I have this wobble sound on my passenger side and I checked the brakes, rotors, tire rubbing there is **** all. You hear the slight wobble when you are around 50-60km?

Good point. I will check the rims if I don't find anything with that tie rod.

Im having alot of poping in my steering. Specially while turning , not sure if that could be it :-\ . As for the slight wobble check the bearings in your rear wheels. i had both sides go bad.

There is some sort of recall/TSB about the tie rods. I complained about a "wobble" around 50-60mph 6 months ago and they replaced my tie rods. Didn't really help the problem, but rotating my tires did.

Hey guys it isn't just the SS's I have a ltz that the samething happened. I cought it before anything else happened. And the deal always said that it was normal or couldn't duplicate it. When I brought it to the shop I have doe my algnments he said the tie rod was bad. I said oh really, well long story short GM refuned my Alignment Money.

I had the p/s tie rod replaced some time ago...probably around 15k or so.

Sint3k...that popping you're hearing/feeling is the ISS...which is notoriously bad on all of the W-bodies. They'll lube it up for you and you'll be good for another 10k if you're lucky.

yeah, have the popping still... they REPLACED the ISS (intermediate steering shaft) on mine, and it's still doing it, and getting "looser"... going in next week to have a new steering rack installed...

Monte...the new ISS is not any better than the old, as you've found out. From what i hear, the new ones squeak more than the old, but don't fail as often. In all, you'd think over 18 or so years they'd have fixed the real issue behind all of the problems with it.

What makes you (or them) think you need a new rack?

because immediately after the new ISS install, it was still making the same noise, still had a "loose" feeling... so they said since the ISS is brand new, the only other thing it could be is the steering rack and/or the boots moving when turning the wheels...

so they ordered a new rack, and I'm going in for my next service in a few weeks and will have that replaced...
