Default My next upgrade...

Hello all,

I'm planning on pulling the trigger for this and this as my next modification. For those of you that have done this upgrade already, can you please provide your input for the items that I’ve chosen or make recommendations?

Thanks for your help!

A little background...

My latest addition has been the Vector TCM. I had the shift points raised to 6200-6300rpm (as well as other things). I'm no "Gear Head" guru, but I’m convinced that I'm experiencing valve float at these higher rpm ranges. I'm simply looking to eliminate the "flatness" that I feel. I'm not looking to get too crazy, just trying to solve the issue. I agree with your cam statement, I’m just not ready for that move yet.

pretty nice write-up here

from my understanding springs and rockers will fix your valve float problem

Thanks deft. That thread is what inspired me to tackle this job. I've never done this type of work before, but I’m not afraid to try it! I guess my concern is the choice of parts. Are there any objections to the rockers, springs, and pushrods that I’ve decided on? Again, I’m not looking to get too crazy. This will most likely be the last mod for a while.

Or you could just give Crane or Comp a call and tell them to build one to your specs.
