Default Need help getting support for 07+ SS guys

Well I know if your a 07+ impala or Monte owner you know we don't have a hand held tuner yet and the 06 guys are still waiting on TCM support for the one they have. Well I have been posting over at Diablo to try and light a fire but I need some help please post to this page to maybe persuade them to bump up their support of us.

We've been having a running gunfight with them about this via emails, as well. I'll post, though, Good to have support.

There's been a few hints from HPT that they're coming out with a handheld

Here's a pic from their SEMA booth:

Not advertized on their website yet, but maybe an inquiry on their contact screen http://www.hptuners.com/contact.php will yield some results.

I know it may be a lost cause but hey I won't know till I try. I am hope by drumming up support on other boards I might get some action on thier forums with a lot of people asking the same question I am. I have already found someone that will send me a tune but nothing I can change myself but it will have to do for now.

Ok, since you are new I will help you see the light....

DO NOT BUY DIABLOSPORT PRODUCTS...!!!!

They have fucked over not only the LS4 guys, but also the LS2 and LS3 cars now for over 2+ years with this product. I would really save up and get either HP Tuners and learn how to program your ECM/TCM or send it off to the guys at Vector Motorsports. Kurt and Chriss at VMS are awesome.

www.vectormotorsports.com
www.hptuners.com

GOod luck and welcome to the board.

BTW, just do a search for Diablosport and you can see where they have lied right to the LS4 families face. DS = ****.!!!

I have a Tune coming from a company in WA they do a custom tune and ship it to your door in a hand held programer that you send back to them once you have flashed the ECM/TCM for $250 I am willing to try it.

but I knew it was coming...

but be careful, as they are a site sponsor now, so I don't know what the rules are about postings like that against a sponsor...

I really dont care because they have done nothing but lie to each and every one of thier customers. They lie about dates when products will be ready and lie about about upgrades ( TCM Support )

Bottom line is that Diablosport can kiss my ******* ***.!!!!

How many LS4's has this company tuned before? Also, do they have a website?

I dont know if there is enough words in the world to express how I feel about this company. I dont think ive ever hated a company as much as I do DS... Well, maybe ford but atleast when they say they are coming out with something, they do it.

I love these DS threads. It helps me release my anger built up throughout the day

I wanted to give you a heads up, you have an ECM and TCM. They no longer put PCM in the newer models.

Also, he says that We've sold programming for both the Impala SS and the Grand Prix GXP, so I'd say we have tuning experience with the LS4. Like other engines from GM they greatly benefit from leaning out the fuel mixture at wide open throttle, as well as refinements to the timing tables. We also make a few other changes, like adjusting the fan on/off temperatures.

I think thats cool, but I would feel better with someone who has first hand tuning with these cars, IE Vector motorsports since they own LS4's and also I believe were the first to offer custom "CANED" tunes. But I would still like to see a scan/Dyno or something after you upload this tune from them to see how much of a difference they have made. I love the fact that they send you a tool to upload and your done with it. This is a great option for those who do not have time to be down without an ECM/TCM or those who do not have a laptop for HP.

Let us know how it goes and also, did you ask for any changes to thier custom tune? What all do they tune besides the fuel curve? Just wondering again.

Thanks

Well taz I am not real sure on what they do but if I need any mods to get the car to run right after the upload they will work with you until it is right. Also I read on their site that they work with many tuning company's maybe if vector would send them the program to upload onto one of thier tuners they could send it to you that way. so no ECM/TCM down time.

That would be 349.99 from vector then another 250 from that place, no thanks. IM just waiting for the right time to send my ECM/TCM into Vector.

I don't think it would be 250 from them to just rent the programer more like $50 plus shipping plus if you ask vector for just the program with out the ECM/TCM I bet it would be cheaper.

No, they will not send out a Vector tune via email, etc. You either send in your ECM/TCM or buy another one from them, or do a core return.

Its only a 1 day turn time for me with Vector anyways, so if I mailed it on monday, I would have it back on Wednesday.
