I was working on my exhaust cutout because it had seized up from rust while iw as under the car i got to noticing one of the control arms "i think thats what its called" was bent probably from a hitting the dear a few months ago! I looked on the other side and its bent to accept the one towards the rear of the car accept the one towards the front. Hopefully my warranty will cover this!

That appears to be your lateral arm. DOn't think we got rear controls arms....just a 4-link suspension (i think)...a lateral arm and a trailing arm on each side.

Yea your right looks like BMR makes aftermarket Lateral and trailing arms for W-bodys. After looking at how easily these things bend for anyone who drives aggressively might want to look at there arms and make sure they are still straight.

The old W-bodies did not have tubular trailing and lat arms...but I think we do. Not sure if the BMR is going to be any better than what we have already...but if yours is bent, you might as well just replace it with something good anyway.

EDIT: Before you go ordering stuff...that might not be the trailing arm...the one on the left could be as well. Lemme dig up my parts list.

EDIT2: It's listed as the "Front Knuckle Rod" - #10329691 - $86.47 (as of winter, '05, so it's bound to be 2x that now)

I'm going to see if i can get it replaced under warranty first. Looks like the trailing arm is fine it looks really stiff. But the lateral arms feel and look cheesy as hell. The trailing arm is the square arm that runs parallel with the vehicle.

You can see the before and after pictures the BMRs are allot thicker.

I think BMR rear suspension kit would be good for our cars. These cars need all the help it can get handling wise.

BMR's website says 96-06 but I don't see a part there that specifically says it will work on our cars .

I don't think its really the trailing arms that are the problem its the lateral arms after doing several 360's at 70mph only the lateral arms where bent

I labeled everything to the best of my knowledge after googling for a while
and as buffalo said they call it front knuckle rod :-\ so i'm assuming the other one is the rear knuckle rod.

WOW! That BMR bar looks nice. Didn't realize that ours were so puny in comparison.

Its at the dealership right now. I should know in the morning whether the warranty will replace it or not.

Years ago when i had my '89 GPSE I ran over a truck tread in North Carolina once...Slapped te fuel tank and tore my muffler off from the pipe... I had to drive another 400 miles back to NY sounding like I was in Nascar, so loud...

Same car My parking brake froze in the winter and I was trying to loosen it up as I was rocking the car. In reverse the right rear tire went off the ice and cought on the concrete and bent the trailing arm.... though only 2 bolts, it was not easy to replace...
