Yank SS3800 stall **$250 shipped** IL (pics/vids)
I took this out of my car last week and went back to the stock TC since it will be easier to sell the car that way.
I bought this used and had it put in 10/07. With the only changes being this converter and 3.73, my 1/8th mile time went from 8.6 at 87mph w/ 2.0 60ft to 7.82 at 89 with 1.58 60'. It is really awesome.
**The bad part it the lockup clutch (I'm assuming) is messed up. It won't properly lock on the highway. The lockup never worked right for me (it locks, but has excessive slip while locked up). I had it professionally tuned twice and scanned another thinking it was in my tune, but after switching back to the stock conver, I can now say that this TC just never locked up right. The guy who sold it to me didn't say anything and I install it 1.5 years ago the way it sits and have driven over 10k miles this way. I had a B&M cooler mounted on the front by the airdam and ran this stall with a Performabuilt Level 2 trans. I have an Aeroforce Interceptor gauge to monitor temps, and this converter has never seen more than 210*.
Regardless, it still works and pulled the 1.5 the same way it sits. I also shot this video a few months ago

And I posted these a couple months after it was installed in '07

So if you are building a super budget car and don't care about lockup this is a great deal. Or if you want to send it to Yank their re-stall cost is ~200. Either way, you can't get an SS3800 over the counter anymore and even re-stalled would come out a few $xxx bucks ahead.
I just want this thing out of my garage
Location: Springfield, IL
My name's Will. Feel free to call me (217) 299-1875. If you want to pick it up or meet up someone close, of course I'll knock off a few bucks due to no shipping, but since I'm including shipping in the price I can't come down much since UPS is ludacrous to ship this heavy thing.
I don't really want to deal with PayPal and losing 3%or charging 3% extra or have my new account set up with it, so I'll take cashier's check, bank check, money order, CASH is good. If you want to send a personal check I'll just wait to ship it until after the check is clear. Check my trader rating, I'll ship it UPS with tracking number and insurance.
Thanks for looking
