So, this really is destroking an LS-1 346 cube to around 300 ish? High winder. Humm, I have to think about thisone. Got a nasty cam and heads for my LS-1. And I could use a very strong bottom end.

Is this all balanced and ready to go with bearings and rings?

Have you got any history on the crank, was it a spare or thrashed for 24 hours.
Any more info on the pistons, and do you know if the engines originaly ran with 6.5 rods.
Am interested,Im in New Zealand but have family in CA.

no it was in a practice motor not the one that they thrashed on for 24hours strait it has a total of 8hrs run time and it is in mint condition the bearing surfaces are perfect tghis car had a dry sump system that was the best money could buy these cars spared no expense
and yes they run those rods and the pistons are a custom compression height

Forgot to ask,who are JT pistons, are they new or used, forged?
Thought they ran forged mahle and carillo rods.

nope they run the jt pistons and of coarse they are forged

there are two types of dp internals one is small bore 3.750 stroke and one is big bore small stroke
both do not exceed the 5.0 liter rule though

ok to answer a question i was pmd the piston pin and rod weights 8ounces less than a stock 5.3 piston pin and rod so im guessing 10-12ounces less than an ls1 rod piston and pin
