I bought this hood about 3 months ago and don't have the money to get it painted so here it is. The passenger side strut needs to be fixed, one of the mounting bolts broke off. The paint sucks on it, it has bubbles all over and is very uneven looking. Other than that the hood is nice. I am willing to drive within around 75 miles to meet you.

i have one and love it. keep it get it painted. Mine did take a lot of work to make it straight though. but it is well worth it. plus hell, i paid $900+ by the time i got mine here

 

I would keep it, you would regret it one day.

How i keep it held up


I don't know a good place to have it shipped and it is still on the car. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get an estimate.

 

drive to ups or fedex, take them a weight for the hood, some websites advertise a weight, and let them measure possibly?

 

Cool I'll try that on monday. I can't imagine it would be to much more than $150 to ship most places.

go to a dealership or body shop and ask them for a hood box, wont take more than a week for them to get one for you

when you say a mounting bolt broke off what do you mean? Can i just get another bolt and it will work? or is it a part that doesn't affect it closing and staying closed. MY struts broke off and i don't care for them. I donot' know why.

 

I got some edelbrock drag headers 1 7/8 to 2 in to a 3.5 collector. Let me know how much more you want on top.

and the actual nut that you screw the bolt into on the hood is broken so it would need a new one fiberglassed in if you wanted to use that side.

Is it silver? I know you said the paint was shitty but shitty silver would work better than shitty anything else until I could get it painted.
