Default Best head/cam combo for stock bottom end?

I have a fresh stock bottom end LT1 in my Lt1.... whats the best head/cam combo to put on it?

Im lookin for the most useable power on a street car with an m6 and 4:10 posi rearend. I have all supporting mods and currently have a 230/236 544/555 cam. Price is a small factor in my purchase, driveability and power are the biggest factors. Im also not too interested in power adders at all.

Im currently looking at the AI 200cc package or the TEA 200cc Trickflows. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

The trickflow chambers are too big for stock bottom end cars. AI 200cc h/c combo gets my vote. 360rwtq at 2800 RPMs is nice, as well as the topend power.

what kinda power would i be lookin at? is AI strait forward to work with? you gotta send them your heads right? what kinda turn around time do they have?

also im not just trying to decide between the two heads, i want the overall best setup so it could be any company... AFR, LE, AI, TEA, etc....

#s in sig, with a ported intake manifold and electric water pump 450rwhp wouldn't be out of the question. I had LE heads, switched to Ai because of some problems and the difference in workmanship and attention to detail is night and day. Also when comparing packages many people fail to compare what they are getting in each package (cnc work, billet cam, better springs/valves, ect.)

The results people get with their heads pretty much sells the product alone.

Just pointing out that LE's camshafts are Billet as well.

I was going to go the Ai route myself until they stopped responding to me and some questions I wanted answers for I did not get directly. Basically there customer service is kinda shitty and I know a few others who would agree with me on that. Needless to say they lost my past and future business and same with a friend with a similar situation. They have great products you can't deny that and I will never say anything bad about the work they do but I went with Lloyd Elliot and couldn't be happier. The quality is a good as anything I was very suprised. I am not going to act bias to either because either place would do a killer job for you but chances are Lloyd will take much better care of you just IMO.

Another vote for Ai. I'm a repeat customer and this time I'm having them build a drop in crate engine. There are a lot of places who "could" have my business, but there is only one that has repeatedly earned it.

Results speak for themselves, I think there have been a handful of 9 second Ai topped cars that have posted in this forum in the last month.

Any track numbers, or are you happy and satisfied with dyno results? To the OP, do your research. From what I've read, AI gets the job done. Than again so does Lloyd Elliott, with what I think is a true concern for each and every customer.

I always do lots and lots of research before i go on a venture like this, maybe 90% of it on here alone. my car used to be a daily driver but now is just a weekend fun car so wanna step it up... AI definently seems to be the company of choice on here but wanted a full, specific opinion from everybody with input regarding my vehicle before i take the next step. there is a lot of knowledge and 1st hand experience here!

Although apparently not the norm.. my LE #'s are in my sig for reference.

Any car will run slow with a lack of attention to detail.

There is a difference between receiving service and being serviced .

In my experience AI has good service, sure sometimes you have to leave a message and wait for a call back, but I am not going to fault a guy for being busy working. I know times I have talked to them 8-9pm and could hear the CNC in the background.
