ok so heres the update on today just like karoman said i replaced the FPR and nothing else, she fired right up ran like a champ no problems at all even let it warm the o2s up to see how bad they were i let it idle for a good 10-15 mins. no o2 problems no idle problems gave it gas a few times no back fire nothing smoked a lil (its like 3 degrees outside) i put it in gear backed up to the snow line in the garage then pulled it back up to where i park. let it idle for 2-5 mins more still no o2s problems nothing. then the a flash of light on dash came on for spilt sec at glance it looked like check oil light not sure to quick for a flash.(oil pressure was at 40) then it backfired and again back to where i started nothing. waited till o2s cooled down to see if they caused it. but its doing the samething it did in the beginning wont start but pops and cracks? im stumped i made some calls to guys in my family and ill i got was that it has to be in the ign. system. is it possible that the backfire could have made a jump in the timing? im at the point that im about to take it to a local garage that is gonna charge out the *** to fix something to could be simple. while it was running it ran amazing no problems at all quick trottle response, no hess. great then just backfired, while tryin to start it it shoots flames out side pipes so its gettin fuel. anymore quick guesses from anyone?

im not tryin to spend a 100+ on sensors when i honestly dont think that there the problem o2s cause a it to idle bad i gave the o2s penty of time to warm up and it didnt do anything it was perfect. its got to be an ign. problem its not firing right or not firing enough. do o2s effect the fire (they will affect the computer causing miss fire) but there was no misfire when it was running

you can get the borg warner o2's on ebay for like 40-50 for 2. thats weird that it started and ran great then went back to doing that weird popping again. hm im really unsure of what could cause that. try resetting the computer. just take the negative cable off for a few minutes.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$ ON O2 SENSORS! i thought we told you that, dont listen to anyone that says replace the o2s cause it wont fire, they dont know what they are talking about obviously.
Reset computer
I suggest putting a timing light on it to check that its still in time. Pull some plugs and check spark, at least 1. This will also let you know that the opti is at least in 1 piece yet
And finally, im assuming you handled all that injector wiring when you were looking at it? Check your fuses and make sure the injectors are still firing. Do that first

yet again i am left stumped, earlier when i came to the conclusion that it was the opti i didnt have anyone to check for spark while i turned it over and my sister and husband came over so i had him turn it over while i looked for spark and there was spark. so i pulled the plugs on the drivers side (they had fuel on them) and put used plugs that were still good; in and tried to turn it over and i got the same result just a flame out the side pipe so now im left with more questions than answers? im getting fire (maybe not enough) and im getting fuel (again maybe not enough) anyone wanna shoot out some more things to try. or tests i can run to test the function of everything. can the opti be bad and still throw fire to some clinders?

Long shot BUT, Have you checked the opti harness? It runs along the side of the intake and is fairly easy to change. Who ever gave you the one wire O2 has a 93. It that person is close to you and don't mind the 93 will work on 94's . I really think you have a problem in the opti. You could have fire and it NOT be firing at the right time. There is a shutter wheel in the opti that has an optical sensor and if it gets wet it won't work right. I have worked on A LOT of LT1's and generally when you have issues like you're having it's in the ignition system. The FPR was a given, it was obvious it needed to be changed before moving on to the next problem so at least you got that out of the way. Take on one problem at a time and it'll make things easier. Hopefully you'll get it figured out soon.
