OK took me after seeing those specs on a page to see what you mean. 55º past tight, which I find silly since why provide a torque spec then? Why not 25ft/lbs? And beyond that you come across the problem of having to guess when you're at 55º.

Anyways, here ya go
http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/torquespecs.htm
Says 45 ft/lbs

Yes, that is absolutely correct. You start with a torque wrench, then use a torque/angle meter.

If you choose the simple torque only method, it should be 47 lb. ft.

If those are Lunati rods they probably have ARP bolts. The spec is still probably 45ft lbs but you should verify that with Lunati

When you use Torque to yield bolts then yes you need a meter, ARP and such, just torque them down to what is called by the manufacture...

Here is an email I received from Eagle about torquing ARP bolts.

We do not have a spec with oil. Use moly lube only. They should be torqued to 40 ft-lbs with moly lube.

Thanks.
I did 45, though... 40 doesn't seem like enough!

The torque/angle tightening method is not only for torque-to-yield bolts. People seem to think they are the same thing. They are not.

You are correct they are not only for torque to yield, they now use this approach for every fastener, but with torque to yield you MUST use the angle meter where as with ARP type fasteners are not Needed but is a good measure. Before these one time usage bolts there was only the good ole torque wrench, heck even the ones with the pointer that kept your hands shaking trying to read the number lol. but it all worked back in the day...Thanks for clearing this statement...
