pics of some recent powder coating work on LT1 parts
what's up LTx dudes
Thought I'd make sure you cats know I do handle my share of LTx parts here as well.
Just did this last nite for Bizznatch350
Mirror red with rally silver fins, all done in powder of course. Blasted clean with aluminum oxide as always first, and a one hour burn off to remove all the oil residue and burn out any air pockets in the casting. I do things the right way, every time for a perfect finish.
dig the level of detail
Big difference between me and other power coaters..the little things. Here's the back of the intake, not what you get from other guys. Every thread and hole kept clean, all gasket surfaces precision masked. 100% clean work.
LT1 rear caliper. all pad surfaces and washer surfaces kept clean for proper function of caliper, again unlike alot of coaters. I did full rebuilds on these as well using fresh GM parts.
front LT1 caliper. Laid down primer powder first to smooth out that rough casting and provide rust protection. Also a full rebuild.
these are LT1
LT1 spindles. blasted all the rust off then again laid down a nice thick coat of powder primer to smooth out that casting and protect against rust coming back. couldn't tell these were cast they were so smooth when done. As always, all mating surfaces kept powder free for proper installation.
Let me know how I can help you guys, via PM or call anytime at 847-561-4361.
For those of you that saw Larry at Speed Inc's recent article in GM High Tech, the powder work under his hood was all me as well Attention to detail and guarranteed perfect work every time is what you get when you work with me.

Coated the underside just to complete the job. No reason not to have the underside protected from fuel/oil/chemicals and keep it easy to clean I mask those gasket surfaces like that regardless as you can't control the powder from being attracted to them even when just shooting the top of the intake, took another 2 minutes to turn it around and shoot the bottom.
LT1 manifolds like the above are $150 including return shipping to you. Fins can be in a color like this one, or can be left bare blasted aluminum. I can also sand out all the casting stuff in the fins then show polish as well, whatever you want. Polished fins would be extra though.
94Aqua--my booth is 6 feet tall by 4 feet wide and 4 feet deep, dual filters and fans and lots of light. I built it myself and my 250 lb neighbor did a pull up on the bar, its beefy I don't do production work, biggest things I'll get are motorcycle and ATV frames, etc, plenty of room to work.
Calipers are $205 for all 4 corners including return shipping. Add $15 if you want the fronts primered first to smooth them out like the above picture.

Sounds good guys, ready when you are
Spindles are $75. Includes the primer laid down under the color, which is necessary in my mind since those things can rust easy if you chipped the color coat down the road and opened up a bare spot in the metal.
