Default 95 z28,what kind of oil goes in the rear end

im going to change the oil in my 95 z28 rear end,what kind and weight does it take.

80-90W gear oil with limited slip additive.

Additive GM part number 1052358

how much does it hold.or how many ounces.quarts

Or you could you something better like REDLINE NS which is designed for clutch style Posi Rears.... It won't be as quite as stock but you will notice a different in hookup...

Yes it is, I think all the redline gear oil is?? You'll need to quart size bottles but the second won't be empty.. Last time I did this I used one bottle of the NS and one regular no other additives, the car launches!!!

Mine is a 96, T/A how do you know if you have a limited slip?

I don't think mine does. I just replaced it w/ 80w-90 conventional.

How much limited slip additive is called for? I changed my diff fluid, but didn't use any additive. My car is on jack stands, and isn't being driven.

You need to use one full bottle of the GM stuff.
