Anyone ever heard a 180 Degree exhaust LT1?
Found a video of a Vette with it, but that's an LSx and will sound different on it's own.
For anyone who doesn't know wtf 180º exhaust is, don't feel bad as I didn't till 30mins ago lol Basically you... well it's easier to show

As you can see, 2 pipes come front the opposite bank where those cylinders are 180º from the 2 remaining. What it does is interupt the air gaps in the exhaust to make a more uniform tone. See: Ferrari sound
Here's the video I saw. I'd rather have normal exhaust, but I'm really curious how an LT or GEN I would sound!

EDIT: Hopefully it sounds better than this, but I blame the Summit mufflers

And the reason I just said "LT1" and not specifically in an F/Y/B/D Body, is we have no room for such a setup :\
Maybe I should've posted about the Springless Valve Train instead

haha that is crazy looking. iv never seen it done like that. Usually its just the headers. What i does is makes all the primaries the exact same length before the collector. they sound crazy on lt1's too. A guy i met had them on his 2002 slp ss camaro and they would literally wipe the smile off your face and make you think horrable things. it was just so crazy sounding and loud that it made you uneasy...and i grew up around open headed race motors in mods.
Ever seen gt40 exhaust? those wer all 180's

Puck, I agree! I'd hate to fab it on ANY car
93: Yea they're also equal length. aside from swapping cyl between banks. And yep, the GT40 had them had well

If there's a will, there's a way, but I think you're going to have to get 1.5" LIFT springs
Imagine hearing a 98+ sleek beak bodied Formula with an LT1 and that CME I photoshopped with it shooting flames ala Formula One, which you could then make it a Formula One in stead of the 3rd Gen Formula 350

Has a sound of a older race car on this ls1 vette, headers for it run a little over 3,000 dollers.
180 degree headers make great power!

While the GT40 is a good example of American V8 with 180 Exhaust (or even a Single/Flat Plane crank, which accomplishes the same thing), I don't quite like how THAT one sounds, which I'm sure the mufflers are solely to blame and not Fords notorious nature to sound bad
