The guy wants to get mods to beat one..not sit here and read about why it's sooo much better..etc..
So instead of talking about the Cobra, how about making an input on how to beat one.
To the OP.. my Hotcam/Bolt-on LT1 was spanking them around.. it can be done.

Here is my question for you Thacker..why are we comparing a general run-of-the-mill N/A car to a decently factory setup FI Car..ontop of that the LTX is a few years older than the Terminators.
The Cobras were built to run with the Corvettes, so they should be compared along them lines IMO..the Mach 1's are a drivers race with a LS1, and the GT's get spanked by the LT1's. The newer 3-Valve models are performing nicely for what they are, but the fact remains that they are all N/A..not FI like the Terminators.
The older Ford Push-Rod Engines were the ones that were worth a **** IMO.. these newer Modular ones need some kind of help(Blower, Turbo) to hang with the N/A LS1's.
Why dont you buy a Ford since you are hangin off of the nuts of them quite frequently..

amen, my buddies 05gt was close to stock like my car and it was a drivers race. whoever hooked up better won. Then he got gears/heads/cam/full exhaust

Umm... my 97 T/A WS6 w/ just BBK shorties and SLP LMII catback beat a new 07 Mustang GT 5speed w/ CAI and Corsa catback pretty badly. I let off after about 3 carlengths...
You can talk about how bad of a driver he is all day, but this same kid ran a 12.8 in a BONE STOCK to the filter M6 99 Camaro SS (he later totaled it )

Take smackeds cobra, the guy talking in this thread.
His car is heavy... it weighs 3650 stock, without him in it. It went 11.7 @ 118 MPH , full weight, full street trim with nothing more than a pulley swap.
What all has to be done to an LT1 (lighter car I might add) to get it in the 118 mph range?
And before you say all cobras are dynoqueens, we have F8LSnake here in Georgia. With 512 RWHP , in full street trim his car went 10.3 @ 133 mph on the STOCK blower.

2. Could not understand the directions to put the CAI on his GTO so he called the OP (yes, the person he is making fun of), to come over & install it for him.
3. He calls people out then finds bullshit excuses as to why he can't race (I can link you to some recent threads).
4. Got drug by a stock 02 Vette in his intake/exhaust M6 05 GTO by 3-5 cars. Ran his mouth afterwards & got the **** kicked out of him (litterally). Later tried to sue the person that kicked his *** for "bullying him". Got made to look like the fool he is in court & had to drop the charges.
Only reason he is over here posting is to stir **** up.
