I am looking into getting the hot cam kit, and I didnt know if I needed to get taller valve covers for the roller rockers. Anyone know? Thanks

They will fit under the valve covers just fine, but you may need to trim the webbing inside. I am sure someone will post the pictures of the trimming necessary. It's no big deal.

Just did this install myself three weeks ago and I didn't have to do anything to the covers except put a new seal on them.

Might as well clearance them:

Cuts the supports on the intake side on both covers.

The hot cam kit is nice, but I wouldn't say "it's the way to go". Now a CC503, Comp 918 springs, Comp 7/16 Pro Mag 1.6 NSA rr's, ARP 7/16 rocker arm studs, TF guideplates, TF chromemoly pushrods...that's the way to go.

did a lt4 hot cam and didnt have to cut the valve cover at all. lt4 hot cam is a good cam i ran a 12.68 at 110 untuned last night so its a good bang for the buck type deal i think

I have done it and often wondered why I didn't do it sooner.

I used the promags a good pair of tin snips and 5min is all it will take.

Hot Cam ≠ Hot Cam Kit Kit includes roller rockers, which required the clearancing.

And +1 on wth multmigs is talking about

Trimming the support webbing is real easy. Also I would look into piecing together something instead of the H/C kit. Look into Lloyd Elliott version of the H/C.
