Default Why no 7 second LT1 yet?

Ok this thread probly been talked about and im probly stupid for bring it up, but im just wondering what everyone has to say about this. I know the Ford 4.6L are in the 7's, LS engine, Toyota, Dodge and Nissan is in the 7's all using orginal engine block that came with the car.

Why isnt LT1's in the 7's? Nobody's able to build a turbo LT1 to get in 7's? If everyone is as poor as me I totaly understand, but I know theres people with money someone has to do it! either that or nobody cares about LT1's anymore.

Maybe I havent read and did enough research??

Because nobody has spent enough money on one...yet . Give it another year and we will have an LT1 in the 7's, and maybe more then one.

Chris Sykora and Stefan D. will be in the 7's soon.

There will be a handfull of nitrous powered LT1's in the 8's also.

Why not? I would spend 100 grand on an LT1 first before any of the above listed one besides LSx. Any car will take alot of time and be highly expensive.

The LT1 isn't incapable of running a 7, it's really a matter of money and time. You have to really well off or willing to be in debt for future generations to try and go that fast with any thing.

He parted the LTX set up so he could build some thing to run in ORSCA.

When/IF Dart comes out with that new block, you will see several cars in the 7's. 50 extra cubes plus a ton of added strength = guys being able to push more boost without fear of grenading a factory block to pieces.
