Default What Walbro 255 Setup should i get?

Hey i remember somewhere seeing a few different kits for the 255lph walbro for the LT1. I know racetronix's makes a kit with the wiring and everything and its like $200 something, does anyone else make a kit and what are their prices? I like the fact that the racetronix's kit is a plug and play, any others like that?

Thanks!!

I would personally just get the Racetronix since it's a proven piece. You don't have to buy the wiring harness so you could get along fine with just the $150 pump. I'm finally installing one on my car and I skipped on the harness but if you have the money to spend the harness wouldn't hurt.

x2 for Racetronix. Got pump and harness. Great piece. You won't be disappointed. I did the trap door method to install. If you do this you will need about 12 cut-off wheels for your dremel.

I think the amps would be the main concern, but I always thought it came with a wiring harness because it needed it.

Id buy the kit with the wiring. Its an extremely easy install, instructions are very detailed. Ive had no problems with my pump at all since the install!

Get the racetronix kit w/ the plug and play wiring kit that gives you more fuel at wide open throttle. i did and have not had any problems and mine has been in for over a year now.

Well it'd most likely add more amps, but i agree i wanna know if it actually does, or whats the reason for their wiring kit? everyone just went the save route and got that or assumed they needed it?

not being a smart ***, just dont wanna spend the extra cash if i dont have too. . . gotta be frugal saving up for a rebuild

Yeah I kind of wonder about that too. I hate to spend the $60 for it if its not really that beneficial. Not to be cheap but I have more important things to be spending my money on at the moment.
