I would bet my car with a 10 bolt, would pick up more mph than using skinnies.

Okay, that is fine. I am not sure it would or not. Wouldn't be confident enough to put money on it. That is not the point though. As stated I believe your car to be at an advantage for things already stated. Especially your gearing and wheel choice. That is all. Bottom line is I am happy you are happy.

I only say that since no one has seen the full potential of my car on those tires, the one time i got a clean pass off, it was a garbage run as seen in the vid.
I still say MY car and his car are very close and they are the top 2 cars with the basic same mods. I see lots of AI set ups that dont come close to either of ours.

This is true, both of yours cars run better than most Ive seen. Hopefully both of you can run at the shootout and settle this.

[QUOTE=speed_demon24;11642291]Do you think I dyno'd on skinnies?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfbTNEm9rvw

You don't think your ported intake, electric waterpump, drag oriented suspension, mickey thompsons, 15" wheels with skinnies, 2" smaller brakes, and 4.10's compared to my 3.73's more than make up for the dana 60? I ran 17x9 and 17x11 wheels at the track, hell everything on the car was the exact same as I daily drive it every day 365 days a year.

[.. Skinnies wont affect your dyno numbers. Maybe if you have 15" rims on the back maybe, but i didnt think the front would matter?

I ment on the back since apparently dynoing on 17 wheels is a handicap.

Hope he makes it to the shootout, I would love to check out his car and race it.

JUST TO MAKE THIS CLEAR MY DYNO WAS ON STOCK RIMS 17X9 AND GOODYEAR F1s, WITH A CUTOUT AND A S60 REAR END WITH 35 SPLINE AXELS AND A TRUE TRAC POSI..

Where are all these Ai setups that don't even come close to my car? Last time I checked I had one of the slower Ai cars out there due to my chassis setup. For example here's a 355 car, 190cc heads, stock intake, 3665 lbs on their site.

Then there's also this...
http://www.advancedinduction.com/AiProductsLT1.html

Fastest NA GM Stock Shortblock LT1 - 10.76 @ 127.9mph w/ 200cc Heads & 227deg HR
Fastest NA GM LT1 headed F-Body - 9.88 @ 138.75mph w/ 200cc Heads & SR on 93 octane
Fastest Power Adder GM LT1 headed F-body - 9.8 @ 156.75mph w/ 200cc Heads & 218deg HR
Fastest NA Impala SS @ 3880lb - 10.6's @ 126mph w/ 200cc Heads & SR
Fastest 4k+ lb GM Stock Shortblock B-Body - 11.9's @ 113mph
Most Powerful GM Stock Shortblock LT1 - M6, HR, 453rwhp SAE
Most Powerful GM LT1 Headed - Turbo 355 - 1012rwhp SAE
Most Powerful NA GM LT1 Headed- NA 383 A4 - 552rwhp SAE

I still don't honestly see how you believe you think our cars are similarly setup for the 1/4 mile.

Not the same nothing is equal there.
All I have on your car is tires, and a 4.10, and I still never made a decent pass. On the dyno I think, all things eqaul Id make more HP and TQ then you, and Ive already run faster than you, with way more to come.
Please tell me how my car is that much better drag set up over yours? Same **** minus clutch, efficient rear. But I have tires!
Hell Larrys LE cam car on a 3.73 runs 10.6 NA HR. with heads from neither companies

Obviously your mind is made up whether or not you look into the facts. Even if you want to state "all" you having is lighter wheels and gears that can make a night and day difference. I won't get into why. No point since you have it figured out.

There are lots of things that make a car run down the track fast and mph high, not all of them are simple A+B=C parts additions.

My mph through a th400, tight nitrous converter and 9inch indicate that there was some power being made.

When I swaped to a 9in with 4.33 gears the gear change picked un more MPH and lowered my ET despite any reduction in power and the additional weight. True duals v. dual cutouts right after the headers made no difference in et/mph. Swaping to bullets right off the header made an improvement, but it was likely due to the loss of 45 pounds of piping.

And a 3100 pound 396 is going to run fast regardless of whose cam is in the car.

I've already listed all the things you have on me many times and you seem to ignore it and skew facts in your favor. Look at tireburnin's nitrous setup that went 98.5 in the 1/8th , dwayne's 4200lb caprice went 11.9@113, hell a stock bottom end car with the same heads/cam as me setup for nitrous went 10.5@127.5 n/a with more to come, and the list goes on. It's not like I gained 2mph/.2 over my previous LE setup with a ported intake and a cam so aggressive it killed my springs before I changed my oil.... oh wait.

There's a ton of Ai cars out there that make my car look like a complete turd at the dragstrip

All Im saying is, yes I have a few advantages over his car ie. the 4.10s/tires at the track
but he has some advantages over me also, 10 bolt, TDs, and a clutch. more suspension at the track.
I still say both cars are very eqaul. I would not hesitate to put the stock rims back on and race him. Its not like he has a 2.73 and i have a 4.88 or something crazy they are pretty close!
All I can say is its a fact I lost 15/15 RWHP/TQ going to the S60, add that alone back and we make the same power, plain and simple. Add MY TDs and Id bet I make more.

Funny thing is I never try to take away from a AI set up, but you cant get it through your heads there are other compainies that do just as good

The bolded part is so true. I like seeing all of the different combos out there.
