Default gauge install

im trying to install my oil pressure gauge is this where i can put my sending unit for my oil pressure

also can i tap into the factory temp sensor wire to get my reading for my gauge or do i have to use the sending unit ?? i cant find the plug on the passenger side to screw the sending unit into IF SOMEONE HAS A PICTURE PLEASE POST IT

the only thing i could find on ls1tech about installing the sending unit for the boost gauge was in the brake booster line is that correct ?

for my bypass valve do i just run a hose from the bpv to the driver side of the intake ??

For your bypass valve, and your boost gauge, you can run it off of anywhere that has manifold pressure. If you did the smog/air delete, just use on of the unused hose nipples. Either that, or you can T your brake booster like you show, I just prefer not to because it's ugly.

You can also run your bypass valve and boost gauge off of the same source, just T the line.

Exactly what I was gonna say. I had an aux manifold nipple on my MR2 that I used when I put in mine. Plus manifold pressure is a more true measure of boost than running it off the BPV.

For your gauges, run the oil sending unit out of the 1/4" NPT fitting that's the plug in your pic. That's where the 93 sending unit is and it will work just fine in your app. As for the temp sending unit and wiring I wouldn't go off the factory temp sensor since that is all based on a 5 volt ref. system for the computer, where the aftermarket one may not use the same system, so find either another location or maybe figure out a way to get a t-fitting in there....

i havent been outside to look but my car is a 95 is there a oil plug on the 95 the same as the 93 ?? my oil pressure switch is pain to get out thats why i was looking for a different location my buddy told me he ran a t and a 90 degree angle for the temp sensor to run the factory gauge and the autometer gauge to get it away from the headers

If I remember, I can try to take a picture of where the plug is in the passenger side head for your temp gauge sender.
