Loseing coolant when i'm having fun
When I punch down the throttle on my 94 trans am, coolant will come out of my overflow (water temp good, no overheating). If I drive it nicely all the time the coolant in the radiator will not go down at all, stays approxmitly the same, driving for weeks at a time. Is it just my cooling system burping from the pressure? Or do u think my head is cracked (or bad head gasket) and pressurizing my coolant system? Car runs perfect, performs great. Motor oil looks good. Anybody else have this problem?

Alot of the time its just a bad radiator cap when it blows coolant out of the overflow. Although it can be a bad head gasket but theres usually other symptoms that go with that.

Pressure test the radiator and see if it holds pressure and also try a new cap. If the cap is good, start checking plugs. My head gaskets were letting water seep into the cylinders and it was burning the coolant. The oil was perfectly clean but some of the plugs looked washed on the threads from steam coming out of the combustion chambers.

Figured it out. pressure tested it and i have a small crack on the side of the radiator in the plastic. Sucks but thank god it wasn't a cracked head.
