Default fuel pump ??

there is probably a milliion posts on this but i did a search and couldnt find the info i was looking for... i bought a pump online from a person on this site figuring it was for an lt1 car... talking to somebody else they said make sure it is the high pressure pump becuase they make both high pressure and standard... i dont know what i got and cant find anything except the installation kit came up for a ford on another site.... the part ## on the box is gss-340 with 400-812 kit.... can anybody tell me what i bought... and if its the high pressure model... im a noob when it comes to this stuff... the numbers on the actual body are gss-340 and under that 17108-2... thanks for any help...

Summit lists that as a Walbro 255lph fuel pump for a Ford modular v8...

yea iv been had then.... damnit... anybody else have any input... thanks for the reply though... i didnt try summit... oddly enough

After looking it up on it appears that the GSS340 is used in a wide range of vehicles and it is a 255lph pump. I think you might be able to use it. I did see a $5 GM conversion wire harness on the web for it. What I would do is contact Racetronix and see if their tech line would be able to tell you if that pump is compatible with your car or not.

yea what iv read is that... they used to make two different pumps for ford and chevys... but then to save money they somehow made the one work for both... but the install kit is wrong... if i cant sell it to a mustang guy ill deff try calling racetronix... thanks for the idea of that...

adapter kit should be cheap.

yea i guess ill just call racetronix... hey do you now if i can by the harness kit directly from them... because i would just get that at the same time also...

I'm running a Walbro 255 without any issues. I bought it from a local guy and it came with the Racetronix Kit.

yea i think the pump is the same but the install kit is wrong.... but i was looking they make an lt1 specific pump now..... anybody run that... i might get that since it shouldnt need to much modification and just sell this one to a rustang guy....
