Default EVAP Delete??

I tucked my fuel lines yesturday and in the process decided to loose the evap line. I'm planning on removing the solenoid but is that going to be a problem and cause the SES light to appear? I had Ion loose the air and egr codes, but can't remember if I told him to get rid of the evap codes.

Is the SES light for evap going to put my car in a limp mode or will it run the same with the evap code there?

I found my old tune sheet and here is what I had him do as far as options go

Powertune selected.
Disable speed limiter.
Disable Skip Shift.
Disable EGR.
Disable AIR.
Disable CCP codes.

If they disabled CCP - you're gold. The Evap is CCP - I believe it stands for Charcoal Canister Purge.

Even with the EVAP Code it won't go into Limp Mode.. that isn't an essential function.

Is the Evap delete as easy as the EGR delete? Like do I just unbolt and pull out everything connected to the hose?

^^ I am interested in this, I am getting rid of all emissions because 1. They rob power. 2. We have no emissions control in Bahrain!

Yup..just cap off the Vacumm port on the Intake that the one hose from the Solenoid connects to. As far as that 3rd Fuel Line goes..clip it near the Fender and stuff it in it, then remove the Canister and turn what's left of the line into a Vent.

I did the evap delete. It took me 10 min. The hardest part was taking the rear driver side wheel off so I could get to the stupid canister lmao. It was cake and it cleans up the engine bay a little bit...gets rid of those useless solenoids and lines running around in there.

Nice, I'll be removing the rest today and hiding some more wires

I pulled my inner fender to hide the fuel lines and drill a new hole so I cut it down there. Now I just need a cap for the TB and clip off some wires and tuck them into the harness (taped off of corse)

Thanks guys. I'll have the car back home tomorrow if all goes well and should have some pics shortly after

cap for the TB? You mean the intake manifold?? The evap hooks up right next to where your Opti Vent tube hooks up, and your PVC hose runs. There are 3 nipples right there for lines...one of which is the EVAP...cap that one off. There is nothing from the EVAP on the TB though

The EVAP solenoid is on the passenger side of every 93-97 f-body LT1 and the vacuum supply is from the TB.

LOL dude you had me so confused for a second. I thought I knew what I was doing when I was unhooking **** today. But the solenoid is on the passengers side and the hose runs into the TB on the same side. Its that way on my 95 anyway.

The plug for the EVAP solenoid is cut and tucked back in the loom now, my intake tube is painted, and the TB is capped off where the EVAP hose ran into it. Tomorrow I'm finishing up the brake install, extending my MAF wires (just have to figure out how to run them up in front of the radiator where my intake tube is now)

I'm getting kind of excited though, the last time I drove it was in April It sucks not having any money and a bunck of stupid little projects that just kept on going wrong

No check engine codes took the car out 2 nights ago with only high beams headlights (lows were out for HIDs) and wow is that scary not being able to see anything. The only time I could see the road light up was when I was getting on it but as soon as I let off I couldn't see ****. HIDs went in last night and WOW, thats all I can say. 4300k HIDs is where its at IMO

Default Gas tank vent line.

Will the gas tank vent line that went to the purge canister develop condensation that will get in gas tank? Can I leave just this line attached to the purge canister? Will doing this prevent condensation, and lower gas fumes? Thanks
