Oh hell this one's spiraling out of sight.. Before everyone else jumps the band wagon.. let me clear something up.. Michigan skip was the one calling people out for a head's up race with his 10.5 truck. All I said was to stop by my strip on his why to MS. And I would be glad to line up with him.Of course it won't be in my camaro it's in a million pieces right now.but again I don't see where it matters as long as he has a car to run. I didn't say with what when or how. And he didn't either he was calling for a heads up race with his 10.5 truck and I just offered to be the Huckleberry.

Mdacton I'm not claiming to be a big bad macho internet whatever.. But I know the car's I've built and building and the car's that have gone through our garage. And someone jumping on the internet calling out heads up race's will get a taker where I'm from. I'm not some 20yr old kid saving up for a
GM847 cam swap. That was my whole point which I guess was missed by most. Just cause you got a 10.5 truck is silly to call out heads up someone out there will hand you, your *** after they take the wallet out of your pant's pockets

Gee, thanks for clearing that up for all us dimwits that can't read. And a special thank you for clearing something up for me too, as I surely thought I was directing my "call-out" to DAVID for a race between his 10.50< (notice the extra zero)(where I come from, there is a difference between 10.5 and 10.50) and my 10.50<< (extra zero) truck.

So sad your Camaro "fast strip car" is in a "million pieces. Get it together and then give me a call

I appreciate your concern about me getting a race, but I'm fairly sure I can set my own races up without your help. But thanks anyway Huckleberry.

BTW If you want a 10.5 race, that's a whole 'nuther ball game.

Using this reasoning, and I quote YOU.... "And I would be glad to line up with him.Of course it won't be in my camaro it's in a million pieces right now.but again I don't see where it matters as long as he has a car to run."

If you want a 10.5 race, just line up against Billy Glidden when he runs down there and pretend it's me.
Good Luck
Michigan Skip

You don't need to wait on "that fast strip car" I got another car sittin in my shop right now. And I will addmit I should have thrown that extra "0" in there because I'm sure everyone thought I was talking about a 10.5 tire in easy street trim...

Don't worry bro I will get my car together may take awhile not getting in no hurry for you. And barring you old *** don't stroke out before then I will call you out and you can line you 10.50 truck up aganist my Old extinict LTx,LT1,GenII what ever you want to call it

Its ok dude, I get a laugh out of some of the stuff in here. But to my knowledge only one in this thread has been as quick as me on motor and that MD, and his is really a race car. The rest are wanna be's.

Skip show me a slip and a pic of your 10.5O truck, I am sure we would ALL like to see it.

Lol could this thread have went any further off topic?!? It is so far from the point...it went from a simple question dealing with a street car to pictures and taunts from full out trailor queen race cars! Sorry Dave, but might as well continue with some more OT eh?!

If all you guys want to argue about are numbers, I'm sorry to say the cars are way outclassed. How about an engine barely over half a liter that spins to 16,000rpms and can run 9's all motor for a $100 worth of gearing change? Chew on those figures for a second. To keep the rpm's reasonable on the highway and the wet road manners tame(its a daily rider!) I stuck with modest gearing only good for slow mid/bottom 10's :p.

I think it is fair to throw it in the mix with the race cars, it's not much more off topic then they are! I can argue it is even a closer comparison - it gets almost 50mpg highway, is daily ridden, can idle in traffic forever, cruises the highway at 75-80mph well under 200*, and has been ridden two hours to the track to click off 10's without so much as taking any air out of the tire before being ridden two hours back. Can your race car do that?

Seriously though, how is this poor thread still going!?!?

PS: I know a guy who knows a guy who once cleaned the shop of a guy who will let me drive their car, wanna run heads up for a few grand?? It has a door, it's a street car I swear!!!

(sorry, couldn't help it!)

Puck, and David, tell me what difference does it make what kind of vehicle it is if they both run the same ET? Race car against street car, street car against bike, bike against race car, who cares as long as they both run the same numbers.
I guess I'm just not as much a "safe racer" as most of you are. That plus I'm not nearly as afraid to lose as some seem to be. I know that street car/race car BS won't cut it in the staging lanes when they both dial in the same.

All that plus you young guns need to set back and read into what's being said before taking offence. Some of it is in jest.
See ya's later> I'm headed to INDY

Where's the action going down at? Can I bring my LS1? It's only pretty much a dyno queen:

Ran Mid 9's at over 150 on Dr's last time out. Oh, and it's a street car. Smogged until Aug. 2010!
