Removing V6,k-member, trans ???s
Im going to apologigize in advance for this post, as Im sure the info is already on here somewhere.
I am about to start my LT1 swap, so I really dont care about the v6 and all that is coming out.
My question is,.. Is removing the k-member pretty straight forward? Or are there some hidden bolts or something??
I do need a V8 k-member right?? The V6 k-member wont fit will it??
Is it worth waiting/paying for a tubular k-member like a bmr, or just go with a stock one for now??
Sorry again guys, prior to this I have only replaced body panels and done a radiator on an f-body. lol

Pretty straight forward underneath, just make sure all your brake lines, ac lines, and electrical connections are clear.
Pretty sure you need a V8 K member, wish you were closer, mine is coming out of my car VERY soon and I would pretty much give it to ya.
I'm going to a BMR unit, so take that for what it's worth.

Thanks for the kind words guys. It was alot easier than I thought it'd be. Within the less than 24 hrs it took me I had to go see a movie at the drive in (a 4 hour process), and slept for 5 hours . I would have finished it last night but I had to break out the sawz-all and the neighbors wouldnt' have liked that at 4am. Once it was out all I needed was a come-a-long and a small tree. lol Now I'm gonna clean the car up while I figure out a k-member and save for headers. I figured it would be dumb to do it all and then throw headers on it... right??

yea do the headers while you have it out now itll make things alot easier. when i did mine i had two cars and i had the cars stripped in one day started at 8am stopped at 9pm. and the next morning woke up at 10 put the LT1 and T56 with pedals in everything plugged up and that was done by 3pm. and then i spent another week trying to figure out a wiring problem that wasnt starting the car and come to find out it was the fuel pump and a Vatts computer board thingy by the pass airbag
