what gear do you currently have? 2.73 or 3.23?
the 93s had an M28/M29 transmissions which are geared lower than the 94+ T56 (3.36 first gear in the M28 vs 2.66 in the T56) and as steep of a gear is not required to get a similar result. I'd say 3.73 should be a good gear, especially if you're plan on hitting it with a bottle

This man speaks the truth. I completely forgot the fact you had a 93 car. If you have the M28 trans I'd definitely do 3.73s unless it's a track car because 1st gear will be useless if you put in 4.10s. Either way, yea, I think a set of 3.73s will make the car SOOO much more enjoyable. I know gears are the awakening factor to 99% of the people I talk to about modding. They usually say that they had wished they did gears sooner because it makes the car so much more fun to drive.

Ummm, 1st gear is already almost useless, I have a really hard time hooking unless the weather is perfect and the tires are warm. How do I figure out which I have?

Cool... I'll check it out. Which is which?
A few dudes on here said they went through 2 sets of gears because of the 4.10s. I dunno. That's just what I heard.
Also, I don't want to lose cruise-ability. I drive to vegas every few months and other trips. 4.10s wont kill me?

EDIT okay so i looked in my glovebox and there was a sticker that said parts identification with a big list of 3 digit codes. One of them was GU5 and another was M29. That's the only thing close to the transmission related codes you guys gave me.

93 didn't have a 3.42 option, it didn't have a T56 like 94-02, had the M28/M29 which is geared different so the rear gear ratio options were different

to the OP, yea man I think you'd really enjoy a set of 3.73s. Gears are definitely something you wouldn't want to skimp out on. Buying a quality set of gears is a good thing. Less whine, less chatter, better wear. I'd set aside $300ish for install, I'd also recommend buying a cover to go along with the gears/install. It'll help strengthen it as well.
uhhh what I'd give for a M29 trans...lucky bastard. lol

Hmmm, i'll have to check summit for a cover. Is that really necessary?
