Yes you can, and if you go the cheap route with no guide plates then you wont need the longer 7/16" ARP studs, instead you will need to get the Self Align rockers 3/8" stud.
Do not run Self Align rockers 3/8" stud or any Self Align rocker for that matter with guide plates, if you do you will have metal shavings all over (a big mess!)

as for a ghetto parts list, here's where I come in
-USED CC503 $130 shipped
-NEW Crane 10308-1 Spring Kit $180
-NEW Comp Magnum SA Rockers $170
-NEW replacement timing chain $20
-NEW Comp Hi-Energy 7.200" Pushrods $30 (optional)
then of course you got gaskets, tune, fluids, etc.

I use to run the cc503, here is the parts that I recommend:
-Crane 10308-1 Springs
-Comp NSA Pro-Mag 1.6RR's 7/16" or any other RR that is NSA and 7/16".
-Trickflow Guideplates
-ARP Rocker Studs
-Trickflow Hardened Pushrods 7.200" (Assuming your heads were never milled etc.)
-Go to your local Chevy dealer and order stock valve stem seals
-New stock LT1 timing chain
-GM LS7 Lifters
I never did a before and after dyno but I picked up about 6mph or so from the cam, rockers, tune. The car trapped 110mph through my automatic at a 3700# raceweight at the time.

well he said he has an A4 so you would want to get a stall to go along with it and if your tranny has high mileage you will need to rebuild it..then you will need a good tune so it runs right..you would think putting a cam in would be pretty cheap but its really not if you do it right

I know this thread is old but I have a question. What will happen if I run the cc503 without the roller rockers? I understand it's better to but money is tight and fixin it up slowly
