Default 96 LT1 A4 no power at take off!!!!!!

need some help with this one. just bought the car has 117k and eaton posi rearend with 373's. has no power at take off it feels like a 4 cyl. but as soon as it hits 2500 or 3000 it throws you into the seat. also the trans shifts kinda hard and will only redline if i manual shift it. i cant get the tires to spin even if i power brake. any ideas? it has new fuel pump and new plugs. in drive at WOT it shifts at 2200 but no higher. and help would be greatly appreciated.

TPS sensors can be known to do very weird things, when it comes to it shifting at the right time i would replace the TPS

not the throttle body, the (Throttle Position Sensor) Located to the left of the TB. Its a quick and cheap fix and autozone, or O'rileys

Also, check your Trans Fluid. I had the same problem with my stall. It felt like we weren't moving till we hit 3k RPMS. Added trans fluid and what do you know, miracle. Kinda sucks cause I'm not sure if there is a way of telling how much fluid you have in there. I know when i looked at the stick, there was fluid on it but not alot. But lesson learned none the less. before you start throwing money at and guessing, do some testing first. i suggest going through and reading shoeboxs website. has a ton of info on the LT1 f-bodies on troubleshooting, how to's, locations of stuff etc....

what was your problem? a potential car i am looking at buysing has the exact same problem...
