Nitrous and Cam Only?
So I got my car all pulled down and getting the Cam swap all done. Going to have the CC503 in it and also got all the supporting mods like RR, Pushrods, Guideplates, Springs, 58mm TB, Ported and Polished Intake, New Opti, and Timing chain plus Cam sprocket. I'm not to sure how much I'll be pushing possible 350rwhp. I was wondering since I got it all pulled down and apart if I could get some nitrous put in it. My question is will I have any problems spraying possible 100 shot. Even to be safe wouldn't mind 75 shot.
My buddies Cam only Ls1 spraying 100 shot just got dynoed today and put down 483rwhp and supposely with crappy tune.
Be honesty what you think I can hang?
And did search it up and read all the posts only thing I got was to be safe for people to spray 150 shot take some timing out and use Nitro Dave setup.

Yeah I got nothing against LS1's or my buddy just want to hang with him in the 450rwhp mark. I think 400 would be sick but planning on getting that when I get my heads done. Thats will be fine with me it'll beat most stock and slightly modifed cars. Would feel good about a 15 year old car beating new muscle or wantabees

yup definetly as long as ur car is mechanicly sound. i rec nitrous plugs. i dont really know much about nitrous but this is what i have seen from other examples. u can spray up to 150 shot safely if the car is tuned for it. wouldnt spray much off the line tho. if u have ur 10 bolt still.

Yeah going to go with a button install running like I'm on fast and furious or something. I'll definitely look into getting nitrous plugs though seems reasonable for reliability.

Well I'm pretty good on spraying at max 100 shot on my LT1. I feel safe about it and will be smart about everything and definitely not spray from a dig. I don't even drop my clutch from a dig with my 4.10's. Now just reading up on opti's bought a MSD Pro-Billet and may regret it because people are saying just stay OEM delco. Hope my opti doesn't screw up my car.

LMAO Famous last words.
Every nitrous newb has said that at one time or another, I was saying it not too long ago.
I gaurantee you this, you will NOT leave it at 100 shot. Once you feel what it can do on 100 you will be going to 150 in no time.
Also, all the other nitrous junkies can chime in, but my buddy with a H/C LS1 told me this and it was COMPLETELY true.
There is a big difference btwn a 100 shot and a 150 shot.
Dont know why but it doesn't feel like you just added 50% more. A 100 shot is nice and smooth, and you can definitely tell it's there, makes the car pull really good etc and you can hear the tone of the engine change just a little.
On 150 shot its like HOLY **** OMG WERE ALL GONNA DIE. It's great, I would get a good tune and spray away.
TR6 plugs
Pull timing (consult your tuner here, but you will need to pull anywhere from 4-6 degrees from the motor tune for 150 shot)
Make sure your fuel pump is healthy, or upgrade to a Walbro for insurance
Use a window switch
Spray away!!!
I wouldn't even waste my time putting a kit on a car if I was only gonna spray 100. Yeah it's fun, but 150+ is where **** gets real.

Are you serious sepno? Thats exactly what I'm trying for. Is he still running it or did he blow his motor or anything? Did he have it tuned at a shop or mail order?
