Default almost beat the world record... almost..... new PB tho!

Took the car out to sacramento today. great weather early on and car seemed ready to make some good passes.....

First pass off the trailer with 950psi in bottle the car cuts a NASTY 60' time off 1.33..... 2nd unit comes on and the car does a SECOND wheelie...

Runs 5.76@122 in the 1/8th mile (which converts to like a 8.87-8.90 or so) and suddenly it starts popping and missing right after the 1/8th. To save the motor I shut it down immediately and aborted a sure 8 second pass....

http://www.youtube.com/user/tensecLT.../0/Q8btLFtim_A

Next pass we went 9.061@153.8 MPH with a 1.35 60'..... I touched the limiter at the top of second gear which probably cost me a few thousandths.... weather then took a turn for the worst and it got hot. everyone slowed down like a tenth. we made two more passes a 9.11 and a 9.18.... packed it in knowing we're right there..... i'm trying to get the 9.06 up on youtube.....

Badass man!

Did you get a little greedy with the timing up to the 1/8th like you were wanting to?

That first 1/8th is just nasty nasty nasty.

Glad to see some competition in the 8sec field for the ltx world. This is awesome! You, jakes, taner, and the rest of the crazy fast guys better all make it to the shootout. That would be epic!

Whats the fastest n2o 1/8mi time?

Thanks guys i think jakes 1/8th was 5.74. Our delay was .5 between units also. If we can take it down to like .3 I think it might go in the 5.60's. Dropping weight out of it is a big priority right now I think. No reason that thing is 3400 lbs.

Congrats again Jason! Glad you shut it down on that first pass. Could have easily hurt something.

X2. Test and tune times are cool, but you can't be considered the "dude" unless you can outrun your peers at the same track, in the same conditions, on the same day. The 2010 Shootout could be very cool!

Congratulations on a great run!

good job Jason. Did you figure out what the popping/missing was?

You'll get it, just keep at it.

didn't figure out what the popping was. closed up the gaps on the plugs and went back out and it didn't do anything similar the next pass..... unfortunately the DA started getting worse and the car went 5.79 in the 1/8th and 9.06 the next pass....

the first pass was the best pass of the day which is weird.... weather started not cooperating... even though the worse DA of the day was like 900'....

I looked at my datalog and suddenly the XFI when i pulled high gear pulled my injector duty cycle from 60% to 48% and it leaned out to 12.75:1 quickly..... i immediately lifted and unfortunately lost my 8 second slip.... we're gonna go back out and get it done tho....
