Engine is stock and was thinking about putting in some 1.6rr but just want to make sure i got everything in order. From what ive been reading using lt4 springs should be alright since i don't plan on camming this thing in the near future they should be fine for now and should i be fine reusing the pushrods or should i go hardened? What about retainers would i need some for the lt4 springs?
To tell u guys the truth i have no idea what i am doing just started reading up on all this, this morning but i also had no idea what i was doing when i blew the head gaskets on my other camaro now the thing runs better then before after taking it apart and putting it back together.

Do it but you need to swap springs too, just so you know and yes you will need guideplates if ur running nsa roller rockers. If not then you can just use some 3/8 roller rockers and swap to lt4 valve springs if you want.

Pick up the LT4 springs and hardware.
Stock studs are 3/8", so if you don't plan on converting to a non self-aligning setup, all you need are the rockers, springs, and hardware. While a non self-aligning setup is much stabler, if you don't plan on camming anytime soon and pushing the RPMs too far, a self-aligning setup is fine.
You do NOT need hardened pushrods for a SA rocker setup.

I will probably going with Compcams SA rockers but i seem to be having a hard time finding a place to get LT4 springs and hardware. Every were i look or do a search i get springs that will work with an lt4 not actual lt4 springs. Anyone know were i can get some or a part number i can search.

After this is my suspension and interior so i don't plan on camming for a long while i might be getting new springs anyway when i finally do cam it. So can i use the stock retainers for the ls4 springs or do i have to get retainers for the ls4.

As for all this "hardware" you'll need, the LT4 springs use the same retainers, cups, and locks as the LT1. So just swap the springs and you're good to go no need to buy anything else.
