th400 wheelie maker. to show how important track prep can be, i ran the car 2 days prior with everything the exact same but at a crappy track. had a 1.39 60' with the fronts coming up 4-5" spinning and going RIGHT. next pass at a good track and it was nearly on the bumper
some of it's track prep and some of it is your setup and chassis. I had a track official tell me the track was going away in my pit before a big money heads up grudge race we had with a 400+ ci LSx stroker car.... So we got more aggressive with the suspension.... car ended up NAILING the bumper, unloading the tires and I lifted and it came down and CRUSHED the rack and sya bars.... and lost me 1200 bucks.

So a good chassis setup on a bad track can still put you on the bumper... don't listen to others and make your own decisions.... get some limiters, cuz they DO help..

got the limiters a year or 2 back. they do help. after the first pass we tightened the doo-doo out of them. never needed to run them that tight at the local tracks.

i have been slack on the car the past couple of months. pretty much havent touched it since i took it to darlington. (for the record pass)

i need to get it aligned again after the wheelstand screwed everything up, and also need to make a few other adjustments. also wanted to remove my rear bumper support and move some weight around.

i hope to get it back out here in another week or so for some 1/8 mile hits. if it will settle back down, it should bang out some 5.80's pretty easily.

yeeeAH buddy! get some vids next outing!

how much do you guys think the lower drag coefficient of a 3rd gen ws6 helped with these times?
edit: just looked it up, 3rd gen T/A cd: .29-.32(depending on wheels?) LT1 T/A cd: .34
not a big difference, but at those times & speeds what do you guys think? how much slower do you think he'd run w/ a cd of .34?

made some passes friday night. i put 275 radials on the car and have made a few 60' hits on them. this was a 1.31 60', and i believe i can get a 1.28-1.29 next time. still room in the nitrous tune, and especially down low on the engine tuning. (lean surging)

6.05 on that pass. nitrous was 100% nearly a full second later than it was on my 5.99 pass on slicks.
i can ramp it in quicker than it is now, and i think i can hit a 1.28 or so. also may be changing up the plate soon.

n/a times are pretty slow. its setup for nitrous so its a complete dog on motor. no 1/4 passes n/a, but its run 7.20's-7.30's in the 1/8. br7 plugs, and n/a i run around 32 degrees of timing.

update- swapped to a 2 stage "expensive" plate with 4 noids, also swapped to a better set of rear shocks.
took the car to the track last night and did some testing. 1st pass was with 1 stage turned on. 100 shot with 10 degrees pulled. (10 degrees is how much i was pulling for both stages)
with no progressive it went a 6.26@106 with a 1.312 60'. nitrous was cutting off and on downtrack for some reason causing the low trap speed.
i think it will go 6.1x's @110 with a 100 shot. with both guns a blazin' it should go somewhere around 120mph.

same stock shortblock motor, on 275 radials.
