Question How to remove...

...the A/C Box from the firewall?
condenser and all A/C lines is already out. so, do i have to remove the dash to take the box out ???
BTW its a '97 dash

i tried to search for a/c box or a/c delete, but couldnt find anything :S

You need to take the dash out. Some bolts are from the outside and some are from the inside. There's one bolt on the firewall behind the intake that'll get you pissed off though 'cos you need to take the intake off or get in there with a wrench or something real tiny.

Where in Bahrain are you? My bro's in Manama

if you would like to retain heat than you can just cut the box off even with the firewall from the engine side and make a plate.. "the merv" did a good write up on it and i could hook you up with a template for the plate..

hahaha yeah it gets insanely hot in here in the summer , but since its not my DD it really doesnt matter, i only get to drive it like once every weekend

ahh no i want it all out lol.

ill try to get to the bolts at the engine bay side first before i remove the dash,

Adel, let me know if you need a small wrench for them and what size. I also have very small ratcheting rings that will get to just about anything.

thanx bro, ill let u kbnow if i got stuck on something while removing this damn thing ...
well i got all six bolts out from the engine-bay side, removing the intake was not required (thanx to my small hands) lol, i only had to unscrew the PCM bracket bolts and push it to the side to get to that far right hand side bolt. now i have 4 more bolts to do from the inside under the dash, and i know thats not ganna be easy ...

good to see that you're getting er done! How did you guys get your cars over there? My bro was thinking of getting my car over there and was wondering what the process is and duty/taxes/etc. if you know the info. pls. PM me, maybe you'll may have white TransAm running around Manama soon ... lol

honestly i have no idea, but from what i know if ur bro is in the military here in Bahrain then he can have them help him arrange shipping his vheicle down here to Bahrain...i would love to see ur bro have ur TransAm in here so i could race him
