Default Best cai?

My TA will soon be my DD. I have a CHERRY 95z waiting for me in chi-town, which will be the new G.Q. I will be looking for a nice cai in the very near future. Im looking for the highest quality and clean looks. So what should I be looking at?

If it is stock cubes or mild H/C and true cai will be more then enough. 350ci @ ~6300rpms does not move much cfms.

Avoid the ebay style short ram intakes though.

The K&N is the best FIPK you can get as far as CAI will go however the best breathing will be the straightest path you will not beat the LS1 LID or the Lt1 Ws6 box...
I aswell as Merv,Roadtrip etc. have picked up in the 1/4 my exact # was 1.8mph and 2 tenths gain over the moroso cai..
There will be skeptical people to contaminate your thread by asking for dyno #s to justify the LID but those are the ones that do not realize you really cannot get dyno numbers for a mod that requires more air than a fan being placed in front of the radiator can produce........
My test was done at the same track same day roughly 10 min apart along with 3 runs w/pos moroso and 3 runs w/SLP lid

I liked my Moroso / Callaway CAI. If I were stuck with an elbow thats what I'd use.

Lid is the "best" though, IMHO of course.

I've had good luck with FIPK, Moroso and SLP CAI.
They're all good designs and provide similar gains.

since your car has such low miles, i wouldnt want to put the lid on it since you might have to do a little cutting although they do produce the best airflow. but my choice would be the slp twin filter one. i have one on my 97 and my dad has it on his 96. he is running 11.08's with a 383/t56 with the slp. so it should be plenty for a stock ltx IMO. but i am putting the lid and ftra on my TA

Iv got the k&n fipk. The moroso and k&n are pretty much the same thing, but the k&n looks alot nicer and you get a better filter. I would get the fipk or the slp dual cone intake. I just like the k&n because it very sturdy, and mounts well.

i have slp and i think it looks pretty good with the dual air filters and pipes, but if the car just has 11k miles i would leave it alone and not worry about a cai

if you get the slp cai it comes coated with black paint. if you know someone who can strip the paint off of it there is stainless under that paint so you can polish it and it looks great
