engine is shot. have to buy a new one, and i was jw where is the best and cheapest place? thanks

did you throw a rod through the block or something to where you cant rebuild your current one?

you can rebuild cheaper/faster/stronger but if your set on new youll have to get from GM i believe

As stated above, rebuild will be cheaper and just as strong if you build it to be strong

Buying "new" isn't always the most cost/reliable effective. Getting yours built is probably your best option. Good luck.

I have a complete short block that will run perfect in your car if you want and it will be a hell of a lot cheaper than buying brand new! pm me if you want and shipping wont be bad either to ok, from chicago.

Why buy a new old crated original GM Lt1 that has hypereutectic pistons and standard rod bolts along with factory bearings oh and a stock cam?

I have a New 383 LT1 with Forged Je pistons and H beam rods Eagle crank, ARP main studs.You can buy from me Only 600 miles of easy break in ... Never seen the track. Look on my signature its all there. Even have longtubs if you need them! PM me

well i was going new stock and go from there. but gm doesnt make the lt1 anymore. thats what i was wanting. so i am haveing it rebuild now. jim lewis in my home town is doing it. 1700 for the rebuild and 500 to pull the engine

i just got a new tranny in march. its got 2.5 td's dumped. pacesetter lt's, ls1 lid kn filter, and the basic bolt ons. so the engine was pretty much stock.
