Billet Steel "I" beam rods are sweeeeeet! You can get a set for seven-fitty from ProComp Ele!
I don't think anyone is making titanium rods within a reasonable price yet!

Stop with the off the wall advice and stupid questions already. Do your damage somewhere else and not on this Forum. Then come back (if you must)and tell your storys in the lounge.

i have used the pro-comp rods in a build before..

i used the procomp 5140 rods in a older 350 engine rebuild... the build was a mild setup.. stock cast crankshaft, procomp 5140 rods, forged flattops, the old camel hump heads, 1.94 and 1.5 undercut stailess valves, .468/,488 cam.. small cam to use with a tunnel ram... rotating assembly balanced..

i know i wount be real hard on this engine as its going into an old hotrod/weekend cruiser so i'm not to concerned about revving this engine very high. setting it up to shift at like 5500 rpm.. the tunnel ram is mainly for looks..

i can say that i was impressed with the procomp electronics 5140 rods, i was expecting some cheap ***, cheap looking rods, and i wasnt really concerned about it.. when they come in i was suprised at the finish and fit, they were dimensionaly correct, near ideal clearances, and had arp cap screw rod bolts.. i had some pictures of them, i'll post them if i can find them.

i wouldnt use them on a blown or nitrous setup though..

a shot of my engine, pay no attention to the truck in the background.. thats my old beater

If you want a reasonably priced rod that works well the Scat 7/16" capscrew rod is nice.

1 Craz28 is a troll ignore all his input.

+1 for compstar. They make really good stuff and they are reasonably priced. Some of the vendors on here carry it (I know AI does for sure). Or you can check out www.callies.com for more information on the parts they offer.
