No a good set comes with the retainers and locks, you should replace those.

I have found over the years that some sponsors and techs from (Summit/Jegs/Thunder) are as knowledgeable as my 7 year old daughter.

the top of the spring is too small, being that it is a beehive shape. The retainer and locks wont work.

if you get the 7 degree retainers....you "can" use your stock 7 degree locks.

with that said a new set of locks is not much $......

Maybe they thought you had an LS1 or were not particularly aware of LT1 differences.

The LS motors have a different valve stem diameter so no the LS retainers and locks will not work.

I found this post to be the most informative on what you need to run a 918 style spring with LT valves/heads.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/10711840-post22.html

Good luck,

Larry

If your going with over a 600 lift cam don't run these springs.. They are good springs fir smaller cams and behave very well and quiet down valvetrain .. If duals is a option get patriots/Manley/pacs/cranes

Lots of us run .600 lift or a little more on beehives, lobes and springs just have to be spec'd by someone competent.

One self proclaimed cam guru was specing .600 max lift springs with the nastiest lobes he could find and going past .600 and his followers are feeble minded enough to believe it was a spring problem.

I have to agree with 96capricemgr ....I've been running a .615 lift cam on my DD for a couple of years now on PAC behives..at it has survived daily sprints to 6900+ rpm shifts and a couple of bounces off of the fuel cutoff (7005)...
